Brooklyn woman shares struggles with alopecia after heated Oscars exchange between Smith, Rock
Emma Guttman-Yassky, MD, PhD, Director of Mount Sinai's Alopecia Center of Excellence, comments on a patient story regarding a Brooklyn woman who shares her struggles with alopecia after the heated Oscars exchange. She said, “Alopecia is more common than people think, affecting nearly seven million people across the nation. I hate that what happened last night happened, but you know I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by people like Suhani [Parikh] and the community where we can sort of take this and try to get some good out of it, which is alopecia awareness.”
