Rocker Steve Miller invited Ugandan musician Ssewa Ssewa onstage with his iconic Steve Miller Band to the crowd’s delight at Jazz at Lincoln Center last week. The “Space Cowboy” singer played a benefit for Mount Sinai’s Kyabirwa Surgical Facility in Uganda, a project led by Michael Marin, MD, surgeon in chief for the Mount Sinai Health System. Spotted among the guests were Caryn Zucker, Murray and Lee Kushner, Mark and Laura Yockey and others.
