"Mount Sinai Children’s Environmental Health Center Hosts ‘Greening Our Children’ Benefit Luncheon" - Jeffrey Hirsh

Mount Sinai Children’s Environmental Health Center (CEHC) celebrated efforts to improve the lives of children at their 10th anniversary “Greening Our Children” benefit luncheon in Greenwich, Connecticut on Wednesday, May 9. With 250 guests in attendance, the event raised more the $200,000 to fund upcoming research initiatives and projects at the CEHC. The CEHC conducts innovative research around the world to identify chemical, physical, nutritional, and social factors affecting children’s health and future development. Data collected from the Center is used to educate communities, advocate for public health policies, and develop new strategies for prevention and treatment. The event’s keynote speaker was Robert O. Wright, MD, MPH, professor and chair of the department of environmental medicine and public health and director of the Children’s Environmental Health Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
