"Women Are Genetically Predisposed to Developing PTSD" - Olayinka
A study published this week in Molecular Psychiatry showed that three in 10 European-American women who are diagnosed with PTSD can link their illness to genetic variants. "The risk for PTSD is more nuanced than the genes you inherit from your parents," says Rachel Yehuda, professor of psychiatry and neuroscience at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine.
