While October brings the seemingly ubiquitous pink of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, September's Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, represented by the color teal, can often get lost in the shuffle. If ovarian cancer is the deadliest gynecologic cancer, why aren't we seeing more of that blue-green spattered everywhere? There are several reasons, according to Nimesh Nagarsheth, MD, an associate professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
