Since 1990, the Breast Health Resource Program at Mount Sinai has offered services to anyone with a breast cancer diagnosis at no charge. The program provides more than 3,500 consultations each year through our clinical social workers and our volunteer staff makes more than 2,800 contacts to breast cancer patients. We see more than 400 newly diagnosed patients each year.
Gifts from satisfied and grateful patients, a yearly Celebration of Life benefit event, and generous individuals, foundations, and corporations support our professionals (clinical social workers), the Breast Health Resource Center (where patients receive counseling and can receive information), and our services (including support groups, breast health education, lectures). Your generosity will help provide much-needed emotional and practical support for breast cancer patients.
