The Diabetes Alliance is available to Mount Sinai Health System employees who are interested in taking the first steps in making nutrition and lifestyle changes.  A Mount Sinai Health System Registered Dietitian who is also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is available to see employees who are at risk for developing diabetes or who currently are living with diabetes on each hospital campus. The RD CDE serves as a diabetes coach and will work with faculty and employees and their primary care physicians to create a customized meal and exercise plan and address other health matters, such as average blood sugar (A1C), blood pressure, cholesterol levels and self-care skills. Over 500 Mount Sinai Health System employees have taken advantage of this free wellness services and have experienced the benefits of this personalized wellness service.

Epicured

To complement the Diabetes Alliance, Mount Sinai partnered with Epicured, a healthcare company that specializes in bringing the best of the clinical and culinary worlds together to harness the power of food-as-medicine. The meals are prepared by Michelin-star chefs and reviewed by dietitians. Many of the meals are perfectly portioned, balanced, and calorie-controlled to help you manage your diabetes or prevent diabetes. Employees will receive a 20% discount on all orders.
