Patient Advocates
Patient advocates are here to help you and your loved ones. We can discuss any concerns you might have about your diagnosis or treatment, answer your questions, and help resolve problems. We can also connect you with resources to provide specific information about your care or the care of your loved ones. We can explain our hospital policies and procedures.
Multicultural Services
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides many types of services for members of the diverse communities we serve. We partner with several community agencies.
Spanish language: Our patient advocates speak both English and Spanish. We offer CPR classes in Spanish. There is also a Spanish educational channel for inpatients.
Other languages: We can connect you with professionals who speak more than 200 other languages. We can provide interpretation by phone, in person, or via iPad.
Religious services: We offer services for various faiths.
We have a cultural initiative assistant. We also provide a number of organizations designed to meet the needs of our diverse community. These include:
