Palliative Care
Mount Sinai Beth Israel’s palliative care program offers an added layer of support for you and your family when you need it most. The program treats the emotional, social, and physical problems that may occur during treatment. Palliative care can help you deal with the side effects of the medications and treatment you’re receiving. This care may include physical therapy, medications, counseling, support groups, and much more.
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people with serious illness and their families. The service is available to patients at any age and at any stage of a serious illness along with curative treatment. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for both the patient and the family. Palliative care is provided by a team of expertly trained doctors, nurses, and specialists who work together with a patient’s other doctors to provide extra aid and care.
Inpatient Palliative Care
Our inpatient palliative program is designed for patients and families to spend quality time with one another as well as with the palliative care staff. The inpatient program ensures that patients and families are informed and in control of their treatment options.
