In addition to care provided for patients hospitalized in primary units of care, our department receives case-by-case referrals. These referrals are for services from other inpatient units throughout the medical center.

These additional units include, but are not limited to:

• Chemical dependency
• General medicine
• Neurology/Stroke
• Physical rehabilitation
• Pre-/Post-operative care
• Psychiatry

Individualized treatment for all referred patients is based on a patient-centered, medical music psychotherapy approach. We recognize that the special needs of family, caregivers, and staff must be considered and incorporated into the overall treatment plan for the patient with an advanced level of services.
