At Mount Sinai Beth Israel, we believe in working hard to meet the mental health needs of our diverse community. Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, social workers, registered nurses, and spiritual leaders is committed to giving you the tools and support needed to achieve your highest level of mental health.
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Mount Sinai Beth Israel is committed to providing you with personalized and comprehensive mental health care that is fully integrated with your other medical needs. We provide outpatient and ambulatory services, inpatient services, geriatric psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and family services, and more.
We also have a robust substance abuse program that is part of the Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai and includes the largest network of Opioid Treatment Program clinics in New York City.
Our Psychiatry Services
Our department offers highly skilled therapeutic care for a wide range of conditions, including the following:
- Mood and anxiety disorders
- Psychosis such as schizophrenia
- Substance abuse and behavioral addictions
- Neuropsychiatric manifestations of HIV
- Alzheimer's disease
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
We also have a dedicated Comprehensive Emergency Psychiatric Program that works closely with our Emergency Department and our inpatient behavioral health units to care for psychiatric emergencies.
