The team of bladder cancer experts at Mount Sinai has played a major role in the development of important recent advances in bladder cancer care including robotic surgery and immunotherapy.

Under the co-directorship of Matthew Galsky, MD, and Peter Wiklund, MD, PhD, Mount Sinai’s Center of Excellence for Bladder Cancer offers the highest quality care in state-of-the-art facilities.
Dr. Galsky leads groundbreaking immunotherapy research that is transforming care for patients with aggressive bladder cancer. He is Director of Genitourinary Medical Oncology and Medical Director of Novel Therapeutics at The Tisch Cancer Institute. Dr. Galsky is Professor of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and Professor of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Wiklund pioneered robot-assisted cystectomy and has performed more than 3,000 robotic operations. At Mount Sinai Dr. Wiklund leads one of the most robust robotic cystectomy programs in the world. He plays an important role with the American Urological Association, as well as the European Urology Robotic Section of the European Association of Urology. Dr. Wiklund is Professor of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
