Vilma Gabbay, MD, MS
Chief, Pediatric Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program
Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

One of the nation's leading experts on pediatric mood disorders, Dr. Gabbay is also a renowned researcher with a focus on the neurological and immunological mechanisms that contribute to the development and maintenance of mood disorders in youth.

Carmen Alonso, MD
Medical Director, Pediatric Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program
Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Dr. Alonso, a triple board certified psychiatrist, has led treatment teams across the spectrum of emergency, inpatient, consultation/liaison, school consultation, and outpatient mental health services for the pediatric population. She will assist Dr. Gabbay’s team in identifying the neurobiological correlates of mood and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents with the aim to improve identification, diagnosis, and treatment of this challenging population.
