Mount Sinai’s Colon and Rectal Division of the Department of Surgery specialize in all diseases and disorders that affects the colon, rectum, pelvic floor, small intestine and the anus. Our team consist of nationally and internationally recognized surgeons who are leaders in the forefront in the treatment of colon and rectal cancer, using minimally invasive techniques. Another strength of our surgeons is the vast experience we have in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases. Our surgeons have extensive experience in the treatment of ulcerative colitis as well as Crohn’s disease.

We have colon and rectal surgeons specializes in pelvic floor disorder, constipation, fecal incontinence. We also treat other conditions includes cancer of the colon, appendix, rectal as well as benign conditions like diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, rectal prolapse, hidradenitis, fissures, pilonidal cyst and hemorrhoids.

Mount Sinai is committed to improving treatment dedication to improving the lives of patients with colon and rectal disorders. Our research includes new technologies for fecal incontinences to same day discharges for colon surgery with our minimally invasive surgeries.
