Information for Patients

If you are interested in setting up a consultation with one of our parathyroid surgeons, please call 212-824-2350.

Before your appointment, we recommend you contact your referring doctor to obtain pertinent records. Some of the studies listed below may not have been performed prior to your consultation. We will coordinate the remaining necessary studies during your visit.

The records that we need include:

  • Parathyroid lab reports (calcium, PTH, Vit D, 24- hour urine studies)
  • Consultation notes
  • Imaging reports and films (ultrasound, sestamibi scan, CT scan)
  • Bone Density results
  • Operative and pathology reports (for patients who have had prior parathyroid surgery)

These records can be sent/faxed to the Parathyroid Program:

Endocrine Surgery Parathyroid Program
5 East 98th Street
3rd Floor (Mail Box 1259)
New York, NY 10029
Fax: 212-202-4723 or 212-202-4995

If at all possible, please send us your records and films in advance of your visit so that your visit can be efficiently coordinated. Some patients will need imaging and bone density studies to complete their treatment plan. These studies can take place the same day of your visit to the Parathyroid Program, but only if we receive your records in advance of your consultation.
