CMS Increasing Organ Transplant Access (IOTA) Model

Mount Sinai is a participating kidney transplant hospital in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Increasing Organ Transplant Access (IOTA) Model. The IOTA Model is a CMS Innovation Center initiative designed to improve access to kidney transplantation, enhance care coordination, support informed patient decision-making, and increase opportunities for both deceased and living donor kidney transplantation.

As part of our participation in the IOTA Model, we are committed to providing patients and the public with important information about the program. The resources below include our CMS beneficiary notification, our kidney/pancreas transplant candidate selection criteria, our living kidney donor inclusion and exclusion criteria, and additional information about the IOTA Model provided by CMS.
