Kidney Disease Telemedicine Appointments
Mount Sinai’s Division of Kidney Diseases offers telemedicine/video appointments to our patients with concerns related to kidney disease care, including both urgent and routine health care needs. We recognize that during this heightened alert about COVID-19, virtual appointments are extremely helpful because they reduce your potential risk of exposure.
We would like to offer all new patients the same courtesy and convenience. However, we appreciate your understanding that an initial appointment usually requires a physical examination in the office. Most patients do not need in-person appointments for follow-up visits, which are typically shorter than initial visits. Hence, telemedicine is an effective channel to receive quality follow-up care without the hassle of commuting. Our patients enjoy the various benefits of real-time video visits, which can include prescribing medications if needed.
