Emma Palmer is Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Vice President of External Affairs, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
In the Chief of Staff role, Ms. Palmer is a key strategic advisor to the CEO, drives enterprise-wide initiatives, leads cross-functional projects, facilitates organizational alignment, and helps ensure the effective execution of key strategic objectives across Mount Sinai.
As Executive Vice President of External Affairs, Ms. Palmer oversees the Health System's Marketing and Communications, Government Relations, and Community Affairs functions. She works closely with senior leaders, trustees, community partners, and public officials to strengthen Mount Sinai's reputation, advance its mission, and support its strategic growth and advocacy efforts.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Ms. Palmer held several positions in the United States Senate, including serving as a Legislative Assistant to a member of the Senate Finance Committee. In that role, she led the Senator's health policy portfolio and played a key role during the development and passage of landmark health care legislation, including the Affordable Care Act.
Ms. Palmer received her Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.
