Audit Services

Mount Sinai conducts regularly scheduled audits, special project reviews, and investigations to ensure business objectives and financial strategies happen in accordance with external and internal standards in an effective and efficient way.

Integrated audit services utilize best practice benchmarking techniques and controls to: identify potential misappropriation of resources; highlight opportunities to enhance operational efficiency; measure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies; and proactively assess Health System activities and standards. Proactive internal programs, such as the Enterprise Risk Management Program, clinical and financial research audit process, forensic audit methodologies for procurement, construction, etc., enable Mount Sinai to design and maintain effective controls, so that we accomplish System-wide goals in a legal, efficient, and ethical manner.
