The Men's Sexual Health Project

The Men's Sexual Health Project (M*SHP) promotes sexual health among men who have sex with men in New York City. Our core goal is to make access to sexual health testing easily accessible, convenient, FREE, and sensitive to the needs of our community. We test for HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections, two issues impacting the sexual health of men in the New York metropolitan area. Testing is offered at the “point of risk,” in public sex venues throughout the New York metropolitan area and through online outreach. But services are open to anyone who’d like to test: men, women, trans, genderqueer, and anyone else. Clients are able to know their status for several STIs during their visit; all the other results are given via MyChart or a method convenient for client, as soon as they become available. If a client is diagnosed, clients are immediately connected to care at a clinic of their choice or Mount Sinai’s Comprehensive Care Program, which provides state-of-the-art treatment to people living with HIV/AIDS or those wanting to stay negative.
