Mount Sinai Doctors Japanese Medical Practice is a clinic operated by New York's largest medical institution, the Mount Sinai Health System. Since its establishment in 1991 with the donation of Tokio Marine & Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (now Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd.), we have been servicing for expatriates of Japanese companies and their families as well as Japanese travelers for more than 25 years. Our office speaks in Japanese language to better comfort our Japanese patients.

The Mount Sinai Health System, who operates our clinic, is the largest medical institution in New York. Employing more than 7,000 doctors, we provide fulfilling services by utilizing wide range of networks. Our clinic is a part of the Mount Sinai Health System and works closely with the various specialists.

Broad Medical Treatments

The Mount Sinai Doctors Japanese Medical Practice offers primary care and internal medicine services. We have two locations, one in Manhattan near the Empire State building and another in Hartsdale conveniently located close to the Metro North train station.

We provide comprehensive clinical care such as pediatric/geriatric medical services and general internal medicine at the Hartsdale Office. In collaboration with Mount Sinai Health System, we can refer you to a specialist if advanced medical treatments are required.

Manhattan Office

    • Access to radiology related services including X-rays and sonograms

We ask patients to bring a photo ID/passport with insurance card to all appointments.

To Patients with Overseas Travel Insurance

Treatment can be received without paying on the spot.

If you arrange Overseas Travel Insurance with Tokio Marine & Nichido or other insurance companies, the insurance company pays directly to our practice for treatment expenses of injury or illness while traveling.

  1. Call our practice to make an appointment. (If you cannot make an appointment yourself, call the insurance company's support desk for assistance.)
  2. Upon your visit to our practice, present insurance policy or insurance card and ask for medical fees to be directly charged to the insurance company. (If you use overseas travel insurance with a credit card, contact the insurance company and follow the instruction prior to your visit.)
  3. Fill out any necessary forms
  4. Get medical treatment
