About Your Visit

At the Center for Clinical Cardiovascular Care at Mount Sinai Heart, our entire staff is committed to taking care of you in a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment. We want your visit to be both productive and pleasant. Please review the information below to help us help you.

Before Your Visit

Please bring your insurance card(s), a referral (if needed), and a list of your medications and dosages. Please complete our patient questionnaire, before your arrival and bring copies of previous records, including CD images and previous reports if available. Consider making a list of questions that you have been concerned about. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so that you can complete the registration process before you are scheduled to see the doctor.

During Your Visit

When you arrive at the Center for Clinical Cardiovascular Care at Mount Sinai Heart, please sign in at the front desk. We will give you any necessary forms and tell the medical assistant that you have arrived.

We want to make sure that you will have no problems with your health care insurance. To do that, we will check your insurance and personal information, process your referral (if your insurance company requires one), and collect any co-pays or other fees required by your insurance before you see the doctor. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

We make every effort to accommodate our patients at their appointment times but sometimes emergencies arise.  If your doctor is delayed more than 15 minutes, we will inform you and try to give you an estimate of the wait time.

When we call you to the examination room, a medical assistant will gather some preliminary health information, check your vital signs, and may perform an EKG. If your doctor orders any diagnostic tests, be sure to ask how and when you will get the results.
