Sleep and Weight Integrated Management Program
The Mount Sinai Sleep and Weight Integrated Management Program is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary clinical program designed to improve health by treating the powerful connection between sleep disorders, weight regulation, and metabolic health. Research shows that sleep quality and metabolic function are closely linked: Poor sleep can contribute to weight gain and cardiometabolic disease, while excess weight can worsen sleep conditions, notably obstructive sleep apnea. The program addresses both simultaneously through coordinated, evidence-based care focused on long-term wellness and improved quality of life.
Our program is led by Mira Tadros, DO, who is board certified in sleep medicine and obesity medicine. She collaborates with a dietitian and pharmacy team and makes referrals to behavioral health specialists as needed to create individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. From the first visit through long-term follow-up, patients receive structured evaluation, treatment, and monitoring designed to support sustainable lifestyle changes and measurable clinical improvement.
The Mount Sinai Sleep and Weight Integrated Management Program is distinctive because it integrates sleep medicine and obesity care within a single coordinated model. Rather than treating these conditions separately, our team recognizes their bidirectional relationship and develops care plans that address both together. This collaborative approach allows clinicians, dietitians, and behavioral specialists to work as one team to support each patient.
We use standardized screening tools, along with data-driven monitoring to ensure care remains personalized and effective. Patients benefit from regular follow-up visits, measurable goal setting, and continuous program evaluation, all designed to support sustainable improvements in energy, cardiometabolic health, and daily functioning.
