Home Dialysis Programs

The Mount Sinai’s Home Dialysis Program consists of Home Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD), and offers patients the opportunity to conveniently perform dialysis therapy in the comfort of their homes.  Our Peritoneal Dialysis Program is the biggest in New York City and currently provides care to more than 80 patients. In order to provide the best possible care to our patients, we have expanded our home therapy options and now also offer Home Hemodialysis.

Our team consists of highly-skilled doctors, nurses, technicians, dietician and social worker who are specialized in home therapy. We train patients and their families in peritoneal and home hemodialysis, manage the logistical coordination such as timely delivery of supplies to their home, help them transition to home when ready, and connect patients with 24-hour help to answer any questions or concerns while they perform the therapies at home. Our clinicians offer an excellent support program for the new patients starting on home therapy and then provide regular monitoring and medical evaluation during the monthly clinic visits in the Dialysis Unit.
By combining the state-of-the- art technology, convenient scheduling, and a compassionate and highly skilled staff, the Home Dialysis Program strives to provide its patients with the highest quality of dialysis care.
