Mount Sinai's New Unified Billing Experience for Patients
Beginning Saturday, August 8, Mount Sinai patients will begin receiving a new unified billing experience that brings hospital and physician billing together into one statement, one payment process, and one customer service team. Our goal is to make paying for care easier, clearer, and more convenient.
This enhancement will not change your care team, appointments, and medical care across the Mount Sinai Health System—only the way medical bills are managed.
What This Means for You:
- One Statement*: Instead of receiving separate bills for hospital and physician services, patients will receive a single statement that combines their hospital and physician billing balances.
- One Payment Process: Patients will be able to make one payment or set up one payment plan to manage their balance more conveniently.
- Simplified Payment Plan Terms: Patients have only one monthly amount and date due for both balances.
- One Customer Service Team: A single customer service team will be available to answer questions about hospital and physician billing.
- Clearer Communication: Billing notices, payment reminders, and follow-up communications will be coordinated to make the process easier to understand and manage.
Patients will see these changes reflected in statements both digitally and on paper. And if something doesn’t look right, our customer service team is always here to help. Call 212-987-3100 Monday–Thursday, 8 am–7 pm, or Friday, 8 am–5 pm.
Manage Your Bills Online
View statements, make payments, and manage your billing information anytime through the MyMountSinai mobile app or on your desktop at mychart.mountsinai.org.
*Important: Patients may still receive separate bills in some situations. While we are simplifying the billing experience by combining many hospital and physician charges into a single statement, certain services may continue to be billed separately.
