The Mount Sinai Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases includes four full-time subspecialists with broad expertise in all clinical areas of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in addition to their special clinical and research interests, and four voluntary attendings.

Services of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases include primary and consultative care for infants and children with illnesses known or suspected to be caused by infections with viruses, bacteria, fungi, or parasites, in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Diagnostic and therapeutic expertise is provided for infections in all major organ systems. Division members have strong interests in patients with unusual or severe infections and patients who have infections related to abnormal or weakened immune systems, including those associated with AIDS.
