We make getting PrEP easy and convenient. PrEP is a safe, effective pill or injection that lowers your risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99 percent. Mount Sinai offers three ways to get started: message-only, in-person, or by video visit.
Message-Only PrEP
Skip the video. Complete a short online form, test yourself at home, and receive a prescription within 24 to 48 hours of your results. Available for New York residents with commercial insurance.
Start PrEP Care with At-Home Testing
In-Person PrEP
Meet with a provider face-to-face for a full sexual health assessment, lab testing, and a PrEP plan built around your life. We accept most insurance plans and can help you apply, regardless of immigration status.
Schedule an In-Person PrEP Visit
Virtual Visit PrEP (TelePrEP)
Start with a secure video visit from your phone, tablet, or computer. Get tested, then begin PrEP once your results are in.
