Specialized Areas of Care

The Mount Sinai Health System is committed to providing the highest quality of care and sharing our performance with the public. In this section of the website, you will find information on how we are doing in specialized areas of care.

Cardiovascular Care

At Mount Sinai, our physicians, surgeons, scientists, nursing staff, and technicians are committed to discovering new and improved methods of diagnosing, treating, and preventing the spectrum of diseases that affect the heart and blood vessels. With world-renown doctors and state of the art facilities, we are committed to consistently delivering high quality care for cardiovascular patients.

Medical Care

US News & World Report ranks The Mount Sinai Health System among the nation’s top hospitals for 2013-2014. Our providers are committed to providing medical care that produces excellent health outcomes. Pneumonia is a specific medical specialty area where hospitals are evaluated across the US to determine how they are doing in providing recommended treatments.

Surgical Care

When you need surgery, you want to be sure that the care you are getting is scientifically proven to result in the best possible outcomes. Since 2006, the Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) has been implemented nationwide to improve the overall care of surgical patients. Compliance with SCIP is an enormous priority for Mount Sinai Health System.
