Billing and Patient Financial Services

At The Mount Sinai Hospital, we have a Patient Financial Services team dedicated to working with our patients. We’re here to:

  • Interpret available insurance coverage
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Notify the insurance company and obtain authorization for treatment for emergency inpatient admissions
  • Investigate payment sources that might be available to you, such as Medicaid and Charity Care
  • Make payment arrangements

How to Pay Your Bill

For your convenience, we offer several options for settling your account. These include:

  • Online: We offer secure, online bill payment with a credit card. To pay your bill online, visit Mount Sinai’s Quick Pay website
  • By Mail:

  • By Phone: Payments may be made with a credit card over the phone. Please call Patient Financial Services at 212-731-3100 or toll-free, 866-682-9380.
     
  • In Person: Patient Financial Services operates three separate sites on the main campus to allow patients who choose to save postage and drop off payments in person. The locations are:
    • Financial Counseling, located in the Annenberg building
      1468 Madison Avenue, MC level, Room 220
    • Main Cashier; located in the Guggenheim pavilion with entrances at 1190 Fifth Avenue (at E. 101st Street) and 1468 Madison Avenue
    • Financial Counseling, located on the first floor of the
      CAM Building, at 17 East 102nd Street

Patients who have been discharged from the hospital or who have questions about their bills should contact Patient Financial Services by calling or visiting their offices at the locations mentioned above.
