Patient Experience 

The HCAHPS survey measures several specific aspects of the patient experience as well as an overall rating of the hospital experience and the patient’s willingness to recommend the hospital. The specific areas measured include:

  • Communication with doctors
  • Communication with nurses
  • Responsiveness of hospital staff
  • Cleanliness and quietness of hospital environment
  • Pain management
  • Communication about medicines
  • Discharge information

We are continuously working to improve our clinical care while also striving to make the experience of our patients and their families as positive as possible. Unless noted, a higher score is better.
