Dr. Lerner is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He a graduate of Amherst College where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree and then went on the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated with Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his internship and residency programs at Long Island Jewish Medical Center here on Long Island and did two special internship programs; one at the Rusk Institute in Rehabilitation Medicine and a second in gastroenterology at the Shaare Zedek Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel.
Dr. Lerner is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and has been a member of the New York State Medical Society and the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Complete Medical Care and United Medical Care Corporations. Additionally, he has served on the medical board of the Lenox Hill Hospital Health Care Network and Touchstone Healthcare.
Dr. Lerner is a warm and patient-oriented physician. He is compassionate and focused on his patients and their well-being.
