About Me

Siri Shastry, MD, MS, completed her undergraduate studies with a double major in Biology and English at Brown University in 2011. She completed medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2015. As a medical student, she was chosen to be a member of AOA and graduated with Distinction in Research. She completed an Emergency Medicine residency at the University of California, Irvine in 2018. She served as chief resident in her final year of residency. Dr. Shastry recently completed a T32 Research fellowship in 2021 and is now Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Her research interests include management of opioid use disorder and drug overdose. She is fluent in English and Kannada, has advanced proficiency in Spanish and conversational proficiency in Hindi.
