Dr. Jean spearheaded a clinical Sleep program at MSSL/MSW including, innovating a CPAP clinic, which focuses on patient education, CPAP compliance and patient outcomes.
Dr. Jean is board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine. Her clinical activities include primarily critical care and sleep disorders. She was one of the inaugural recipients of the Master of Teaching Excellence Award of 2016, an award given by the housestaff for excellence in clinical teaching. She serves as a member at large of the leadership of the Medical board, the CME and the IRB committees at MSSL and MSW and Mount Sinai hospitals.
Dr. Jean’s research interests include studying the impact of obesity on critical illness, weaning from mechanical ventilation, acute respiratory failure on outcomes and cost, sleep apnea and its impact on acute respiratory failure and quality of life, sleep quality and quantity in critical care, sleep disorders and depression, and CPAP compliance and outcomes.
