Rachel Brozinsky, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and practices pediatrics at Mount Sinai Queens. She graduated cum laude from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. She went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During her residency, she observed the struggles that both parents and pediatricians had navigating the special education system in New York City, and developed a guide for providers to help them advocate more effectively for families and children with special learning needs.
Dr. Brozinsky is passionate about the impactful nature of practicing pediatrics and finds it deeply rewarding. She believes in a caring, compassionate, and personalized approach to the care of infants, children, and adolescents. As a pediatrician, Dr. Brozinsky considers communication to be paramount and goes above and beyond to build an informative, sensitive, and cooperative relationship with her patients and their families. She was honored with the Cullman Family Award in 2018 for excellence in physician communication after ranking in the top one percent nationally in provider communication. By educating patients and their families, she empowers them to make healthy choices, maintain healthy lifestyles, and establish personalized goals.
Quality and safety in patient care is also a priority for Dr. Brozinsky, and she works with the risk management team at Mount Sinai Queens as a root cause analysis chair to reduce error and maintain professional excellence throughout the hospital.
