Dr. Junyi Xia is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Mount Sinai. He earned his Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Florida and has been an American Board of Radiology certified medical physicist since 2012.
Dr. Xia's research focuses on improving clinical efficiency and treatment safety through automation and artificial intelligence. His deep involvement in healthcare entrepreneurship has led to receiving multiple federal and state grants, facilitating the translation of innovative technology from the laboratory to the clinic in Radiation Oncology. He holds numerous patents in treatment monitoring and medical device design.
Dr. Xia is a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors. He has actively served on the committees of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.
