Dr. John Phair is a vascular surgeon with expertise in managing aortic disease, including thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, and dialysis access.
Dr. Phair's clinical interests span all areas of vascular medicine and surgery. He is skilled in both open and endovascular surgical techniques, which are combined to provide the best individualized treatment options to address the unique circumstances of each patient.
Dr. Phair earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors from New York University. After earning his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Phair completed a five-year residency-fellowship program in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. He has been a recipient of several awards from the New York Society for Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society, and Society for Vascular Surgery in recognition of his research and case presentations.
An active researcher, Dr. Phair's work has been published extensively in peer-reviewed publications and he has presented his work at conferences throughout the United States. His research interests include the use of endovascular technologies to provide optimized treatment for arterial aneurysms and dissections throughout the body—along with cerebrovascular disease, vasculopathies, limb-threatening arterial insufficiency, venous disease, and dialysis access creation and maintenance.
Dr. Phair is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, and the Eastern Vascular Society.
