I have an ongoing interest in the history of psychiatry and psychoanalysis, as reflected in the publications below. My books on the life and work of Daniel Paul Schreber examine those histories in the 19th century and early 20th century against the background of psychiatry and psychoanalysis of that period.
The persons prominent in that period and in my work: Freud, Jung, Spielrein, Ferenczi, and many others. The historical research is made relevant and applicable to ongoing issues in the methodology of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.
