About Me

Dr. Greenblatt specializes in treating children, adolescents and young adults with ADHD, depression, school and family problems.  Dr. Greenblatt has a subspecialty in evaluating and treating child and adolescent abuse.  He also works with children and parents going through a divorce.

Treatment is tailored to the needs of the child and family and therefore the modality and approach in treating a child, adolescent or young adult will vary.  He is keenly aware of many parents resistance in medicating their child and will work with the child and parents to mitigate their symptoms.

Dr. Greenblatt also evaluates and treats children of abuse.   Many symptoms of abuse can mimic other psychiatric problems such as depression, anxiety and even ADHD.  Working with children of abuse requires a thorough history and special interviewing techniques before treatment commences.

Dr. Greenblatt was the Director of the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic in Psychiatry at Mount Sinai for many years.  In this role, he supervised medical residents and psychology graduate students in their evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents.

Dr. Greenblatt has publications, chapters and presentations on ADHD, learning disabilities, friendships, aggressive behaviors and child abuse.
