What We Offer

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is designed to help people with heart disease recover faster and lead healthier lives. It can reduce symptoms such as chest pains and decrease the risk of having heart problems again. Patients who have had a heart attack, bypass surgery, coronary interventions and/or heart failure are prime candidates for this program.

Our comprehensive, individualized program builds upon a program of exercise and diet to include education, counseling, emotional support and a growing number of other options. Under the direction of our cardiologists, advanced practice nurses and other health professionals work closely with the referring physician to tailor a 6-12 week program to meet the patient's needs.

Who Benefits

Almost anyone with heart disease can benefit from cardiac rehabilitation. Ask your doctor to be sure. Our program may be appropriate for you if you have had:

  • angina (chest pains)
  • balloon angioplasty, stent, atherectomy, or other cardiac procedure
  • a heart attack
  • bypass or valve surgery
  • heart failure
  • a heart transplant

Certification

The Cardiac Health Program was certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation only one year after the Program opened. The Program was recently recertified, again meeting all the established criteria set by the organization for certification.
