The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation Benefit

The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation (CCF) will hold its 30th annual Benefit, and first-ever celebration at Cirque Du Soleil on November 13, 2016 at Randall's Island Park. The show, Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities, will begin at 5 pm. Doors open at 4 pm. The Chairs for this year's benefit event are Jennifer Deppe Parker and Stan Parker, and Frederique and Raymond Svider. The benefit is a tremendous success each year thanks to the continued support of our donors who enable us to provide the very best science and medicine to the children and families we serve.

Funding raised by our Cirque Du Soleil Benefit directly supports our Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Program which provides advanced therapeutic support and play to children at the hospital to alleviate the stress and trauma associated with a medical visit or complex procedure.

Funding also provides critical resources to our innovative young scientists enabling them to launch impactful research projects focused on major scientific discovery for our most chronic childhood diseases and disorders, including diabetes, obesity and food allergies.

Support in previous years has been instrumental in launching and catalyzing the creation of new pediatric units and programs aimed at the finest and most innovative medical care for our sickest children. These efforts include:

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

A 15-bed unit that weds cutting-edge medical technology with a family-friendly facility for the most critically ill children, designed to welcome parents as part of the medical team.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Overlooking Central Park, our new NICU is being expanded to 46 beds consisting of private and semi-private rooms with generous, soothing space for parents to remain comfortably at their baby's bedside resulting in improved outcomes for baby and parents.

The first half of the new NICU was completed in September 2014 with the remainder of the unit projected for summer of 2015.

The Asthma, Allergy & Airways Program

This important program addresses the urgent needs of our community, enabling our expert team to care for every child needing our services. Our approach centers on advanced non-invasive approaches to help our chronically sick children live happier and healthier lives.

On behalf of the physicians, our team, and most importantly the children and families who count on us most, we thank you again for your support of our work at Kravis Children's Hospital.
