Emergency Medicine

The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine is ready to care for any child with an acute illness or injury 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We see many subspecialty patients from the transplant, hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, metabolic, cardiology, and endocrinology services. Our multidisciplinary staff includes pediatric-specific specialists in nursing, social work, and child life, in addition to our eight full-time, board certified pediatric emergency medicine faculty. We serve a diverse population and frequently provide care to national and international travelers.

Beyond the walls of the Emergency Department, we strive to promote wellness and educate children and their families about prevention of injuries through a multitude of community outreach projects.

Our Pediatric Emergency Department will never turn away a child in need of emergency care.
