NFL Draft Prospects Visit the Zone
On April 25, before Thursday’s Draft Night, some of the NFL’s top prospects stopped in to visit with pediatric patients at Mount Sinai Health System’s Kravis Children’s Hospital. For the eighth year, young patients welcomed players to The Zone, a state-of-the-art therapeutic play and educational environment for children and families funded by Garth Brooks, Troy Aikman and others of the Teammates for Kids Foundation.
The NFL Draft prospects took part in art and play activities with children and their families, delivered goody bags and visited the Kravis pediatric units. They also appeared on KidZone TV live for an interview and a lively Q & A and trivia session with callers. The Zone roster, included future stars such as Eric Fisher, Ezekiel Ansah, Barkevious Mingo and Shariff Floyd.
Kravis Children’s Hospital, the Child Life staff and everyone here at the Zone offer special thanks to Teammates for Kids, the NFL and NFL League Office for all their support making this special day for our young patients a success!
