The Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai is proud to be presenting three of the 36 accepted late-breaking research papers at this year’s European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress in Berlin, Germany, Wednesday, October 11-Saturday, October 14, 2023. Earning these coveted spots underscores the department’s mission to advance the science of dermatology through research and clinical innovation.

The EADV Annual Congress is one of the most prestigious events in the field of dermatology and venereology. The late-breaker sessions at the EADV Annual Congress have become a key highlight for attendees, offering a platform for the most cutting-edge research that emerged in the months leading up to the event. These sessions showcase studies that are poised to make a significant impact on the diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of dermatological and venereological conditions.

The Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai also has nine other activities at the EADV Annual Congress, totaling 12 contributions to this year’s meeting.

“A pool of many hundreds of late-breaking research papers are submitted globally,” notes Emma Guttman, MD, PhD, Waldman Professor and System Chair, The Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology. “There is always such a high caliber of late-breaking research papers presented at the EADV Annual Congress. We are extremely honored and humbled to contribute three of these papers this year, highlighting some of the latest discoveries and innovations in atopic dermatitis, chronic hand eczema and hidradenitis suppurativa.”
