Why Choose Mount Sinai?
Whatever your child’s gastroenterology or hepatology needs, we are here for you and we can help. We provide specialized, family-centered care to infants, children and teens with a wide variety of digestive and liver disorders.
In its 2014-2015 "Best Children's Hospitals" issue, U.S. News & World Report ranks Kravis Children's Hospital at Mount Sinai among the nation’s best in Gastroenterology and GI Surgery. As one of the most respected centers for pediatric digestive disorders, and a pioneer in research and education, we deliver specialized, evidence-based care to children with IBD, celiac disease, gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver, biliary and pancreatic diseases, and many other conditions both common and complex.
Our patients benefit from the multidisciplinary team at The Mount Sinai Hospital where we coordinate care with nurse practitioners, social workers, nutritionists and child-life specialists working together to achieve the best care for your child.
We also work closely with the Hospital’s adult Gastroenterology and Hepatology department and, as our patients become young adults, we help them transition to the care of our excellent adult program.
Services We Offer
We offer the following services to young patients and their families:
- Pediatric Endoscopy: Outfitted with advanced optics and first-rate visualization systems for rapid, accurate and pain-free examinations of the digestive tract and adjacent organs
- Pediatric Radiology: We work closely with our colleagues in Radiology for any imaging needs your child may have such as ultrasounds, magnetic resonance enterography (MRE), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), CT scans or x-rays. Conveniently located just steps from our office and on the Hospital campus, the Pediatric Radiology Suite is easily accessible with skilled pediatric-trained radiologists providing their expertise.
