The first time that you meet your primary care physician, she will evaluate your overall health by taking a thorough patient history. She will then maintain an ongoing relationship with you and evaluate changes in your health. Your primary care physician will also coordinate evaluation of your specialized health care needs with other physicians as they arise.
Your Mount Sinai primary care physician performs routine health risk assessments, offering you proactive health promotion strategies while providing you with preventive health management services. She will also ensure that you are aware of the screening and preventive services that are recommended for you based on your personal medical condition and history. Working with the Women's Health Coordinator, your primary care physician will facilitate your access to these services.
