Psychiatric and Mental Health Services

The Mount Sinai Department of Psychiatry provides a full range of mental health services for patients of all ages. From a child showing signs of autism, to a young adult struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder, to a grandparent suffering from severe depression, our patients are daily receiving answers and relief from our team of highly-skilled psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors.

Catering to the individual needs of both inpatients and outpatients, our Department offers comprehensive and compassionate care in the form of psychotherapy (including various forms of talk therapy), psychopharmacology (such as antidepressant medications), and the growing field of device-based treatments (such as electroconvulsive therapy). These treatments are enhanced by Mount Sinai’s extensive research activities, which give our patients access to the most advanced therapies available via clinical trial enrollments.
