Specialized Care
Here at the Mount Sinai Department of Psychiatry we have created a model of care that integrates research, clinical service and education through several specialized treatment centers. These centers offer an array of services - from pharmacotherapy to psychosocial treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy - to procedures such as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for severe and refractory Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Mount Sinai offers this specialized care not only at the ambulatory level. We also provide comprehensive services to our inpatients, with specialized units for children, adolescents, the elderly and those with dual-diagnoses.
Our commitment to improving the mental and emotional health of those for whom we provide care is long-standing, and every effort towards this end is grounded solidly in evidence-based research and clinical expertise.
Mount Sinai Medical Center ranks among the nation’s best for Psychiatry in the 2011-2012 U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” issue. Learn More
