The Young Spine Program
The Young Spine Program at Mount Sinai Health System takes a caring, multidisciplinary approach to treating children’s spinal conditions. The Program’s pediatric orthopedic specialists guide other pediatric experts in treating your child—pediatricians, anesthesiologists, plastic surgeons, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, nutritionists, and child life specialists. Your child’s team of specialists collaborates to ensure meeting your child’s needs with the best possible outcome and a positive experience during treatment—all in a family-friendly environment.
Mount Sinai treats a full spectrum of conditions of the spine that may affect your child from birth, later during adolescence, or during any other growth period. Many of our young patients and their families have shared their stories about the care they received at Mount Sinai and the results of that care.
At the core of the Young Spine Program is our team of pediatric orthopedists who are dedicated to the overall wellbeing of children and their ability to live full and happy lives. Bringing together specialists in multiple fields, the Young Spine Program achieves its mission by providing expert care for each child we treat from birth to young adulthood.
As an expansive and highly rated health system, Mount Sinai offers access to the groundbreaking research of our Medical School’s Department of Orthopaedics and treatment in the family-friendly environment of Kravis Children’s Hospital with rooms that overlook Central Park.
