Mount Sinai HIV Clinic Now Serving 83 Percent of the Former St. Vincent Hospital’s HIV Patients 
July 6, 2010 - Patients who relied on St. Vincent’s HIV clinic are now being treated at a new Mount Sinai HIV clinic at the same Greenwich Village location.

 

Benjamin Chen, MD, PhD, Wins NIDA 2009 Avant-Garde Award for Innovative HIV-AIDS Research 
September 24, 2009 - The National Institute on Drug Abuse honored Dr. Chen for his work developing a method for visually tracking HIV virus particles from cell to cell.

 

Transfer of HIV Between T Cells Captured on Video 
March 26, 2009 - A team of researchers from Mount Sinai and UC Davis have for the first time captured on video the transfer of HIV from infected to uninfected T cells through structures called virological synapses.
