- Medical Dermatology: Mount Sinai's Dermatology Department specializes in treatment of psoriasis; skin cancers and precancerous lesions; abnormal moles; acne; eczema; rosacea; genital warts; and other acute, chronic neoplastic (tumors) and infectious dermatological conditions. Our Department has been on the forefront of development and use of biologic therapies for psoriasis and eczema, as well as blistering disorders.
- Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology: Mount Sinai's Department of Dermatology is deeply committed to offering state-of-the-art dermatologic care to our pediatric and adolescent patients. Our pediatric dermatologists see children of all ages from birth to 21 years of age in both the inpatient and the outpatient setting. Our specialists are highly trained in the treatment of a wide variety of pediatric and adolescent skin conditions, including acne, atopic dermatitis, molluscum, warts, alopecia, pigmented and vascular birthmarks, as well as skin conditions associated with genetic and systemic disorders. We also offer minor surgical procedures such as the biopsy or excision of atypical moles, laser treatments, and phototherapy.
- Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology: We offer a wide range of dermatologic surgical procedures and cosmetic treatments in our outpatient surgical suites. This includes skin cancer management, Mohs surgery, scar revisions, peels, neurotoxins, fillers, liposuction, fat transfer, blepharoplasty, and the latest laser procedures. Our Department of Dermatology is among the leading training institutions in the country for cosmetic procedures. Our Mohs surgeons perform more than 2,000 cases per year.
